About Us

From The Beginning…

Friends of Career Solutions (FOCS) was created as a 501c3 nonprofit in 2017 to increase the participation of youth in the CareerONE program. Career Solutions, as the implementing partner, successfully grew the program from 40 youth to 200, thanks to the support from FOCS and the community.

Supporting Immigrant Success

The Immigrant Services program have also flourished with help as businesses expanded their staff with talented new immigrants. Cultural divides have been bridged, skilled employees are secure, and businesses have thrived.

Innovation In Action

Innovative staff at Career Solutions introduced new programs to the partnership supported by FOCS, Career Solutions, and the community, such as Job Club, Job Seeker Open House events, and Career Discovery Days, which are flourishing.

Free Programs For Participants

Thanks to sponsorships, donations, and grants, programs are FREE to participants. Donations are tax-deductible.

Community Partnerships

CentraCare has continued to assist CareerONE in all aspects of the program, and we rely heavily on their input with the healthcare training initiative. PCI and MCI Carpet One have been longtime supporters, and Thomas Ritsches’ Central Minnesota Community Foundation grant supported the Construction and Manufacturing Track. United Way of Central Minnesota has continued its support of the program. St. Cloud Technical & Community College has consistently found ways to further educate and support the needs of participants.
